From 2000 to 2002 one stretch of Highway 25 in California saw more than 175 auto accidents, 65 injuries and 20 deaths. Considering this stretch of road, at the time, had 24,000 cars daily, many more accidents, injuries and deaths were likely. Brad Pike asked local politicians – media – safety officials – what was being done about Highway 25. Hearing nothing was being done, Brad Pike decided he would – as a private citizen and a fireman, get something done.
